The NGO struggle
Changes in funding policies are having a negative effect on some Romanian NGOs.
It has been estimated that 1 billion Euros is available to Europe's NGOs through European Commission grants.
But as director of the small Bucharest-based charity Opportunity Associates Dana Nicolescu says her organisation faces more funding challenges now that Romania has entered the European market.
